Get ready for an unforgettable week at one of the UK’s most famous aviation hubs — Biggin Hill Airport. This exciting 5-day holiday club gives students the opportunity to experience the world of airline flying, aircraft engineering, helicopters, emergency response, and air traffic control at a live operational airport.
Designed for young aviation enthusiasts, students will spend the week immersed in real aviation through simulator flying, hands-on learning, industry visits, and opportunities to meet aviation professionals working across the sector.
Based at the iconic Biggin Hill Airport, students will gain insight into the many exciting careers in aviation while exploring how pilots, engineers, emergency crews, and controllers work together to keep aircraft flying safely.
Throughout the week, students will take part in a range of exciting themed days, including:
✈️ Fly the Airliners Day
Step into the cockpit of the Airbus A320 and discover what it’s like to fly a modern commercial airliner. Students will take part in simulator flying exercises and hear from business jet pilots about life in professional aviation.
⚙️ Jet Engine & Engineering Day
Discover how jet engines work and explore the fascinating world of aircraft maintenance and aerospace engineering. Students may also have the opportunity to visit Bombardier and learn about business aviation technology while meeting engineers and aviation technicians.
🗺️ Navigation & Helicopter Operations Day
Learn how pilots navigate, plan routes, and use aviation charts and systems before exploring the exciting world of helicopter aviation. Students may have the opportunity to meet helicopter pilots and get up close to rotary aircraft operations.
🚒 Emergency Response & Fire Crew Day
Step into the world of aviation emergency response and discover how pilots, fire crews, and specialist teams handle in-flight emergencies. Students may hear from Air Ambulance professionals and explore airport rescue and firefighting equipment.
🎧 Air Traffic Control & Aviation Futures Day
Learn how air traffic controllers safely manage aircraft movements while taking part in practical ATC and pilot communication exercises. Students may also have opportunities to visit the control tower and explore exciting aviation career pathways through the Biggin Hill Futures Week event.
