What students will do
Weekly evening sessions led by a British Young Pilots instructor
A 50/50 split between theory-based learning and practical flying on flight simulators
Learn the foundations of aviation, navigation and flight
Build confidence, self-esteem and teamwork skills
Follow a clear pathway for students interested in aviation and pilot training
Optional real-world flying experiences available outside of club time
Who are Evening Flying Clubs for?
Typically suitable for ages 11 – 16
No previous aviation or flying experience required
Open to students from the host school and the wider community
Ready to book?
Places are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
British Young Pilots Evening Flying Clubs give young people the opportunity to explore aviation outside of the school day, through a structured mix of theory, flight simulation and hands-on learning.
Sessions are fully run by British Young Pilots instructors and hosted at partner schools and venues across the UK. Clubs are suitable for beginners and returning students alike and provide a clear pathway for those interested in aviation and pilot training.
