Bristol
Bristol has a rich aviation heritage and as this is the home of Concorde, expect to learn more about this supersonic engineering titan.
This Club is based at Bristol Grammar School with visits to the Bristol Aerospace Museum
Program – Bristol
Get ready for an unforgettable week of aviation, investigation, engineering, and supersonic flight at Bristol — a unique 5-day holiday club designed for students fascinated by aircraft, technology, and the world of aviation.
Based at Bristol Grammar School with trips to one of the UK’s most exciting aerospace environments, students will explore everything from the legendary Concorde and airline flying to aircraft investigation, drones, and air traffic control through hands-on activities, simulator flying, and immersive aviation challenges.
Throughout the week, students will step into the shoes of pilots, investigators, engineers, and controllers while developing teamwork, problem-solving, and real aviation knowledge in a fun and engaging environment.
Throughout the week, students will take part in a range of exciting themed days, including:
✈️ Concorde & Supersonic Flight Day
Discover the incredible story of Concorde and learn how supersonic flight works. Students will explore the history, development, and engineering behind one of the world’s most iconic aircraft, including a visit to the Bristol Aerospace Museum and Concorde education sessions.
🕵️ Aircraft Investigation Day
Become an aviation investigator and discover how aircraft incidents are analysed to improve aviation safety around the world. Students will work in teams to investigate a simulated incident, solve problems, and think like real aviation safety experts.
🎮 RC Aircraft & Drone Technology Day
Take to the skies with remote-controlled aircraft while exploring the fast-growing world of drone technology. Students will learn the basics of RC and drone flight, take part in flying activities, and experience demonstrations and practical challenges.
✈️ Airliner Day – Airbus A320 Experience
Step into the world of commercial aviation and experience what it’s like to fly a modern airliner. Students will explore the Airbus A320, learning about aircraft systems, cockpit design, navigation, departures, and landings through realistic simulator flying.
🎧 Air Traffic Control Day
Learn how air traffic controllers safely manage aircraft both in the air and on the ground. Students will practise authentic aviation communication, learn the phonetic alphabet and key ATC terminology, and take part in exciting roleplay exercises using walkie-talkies and pilot/controller simulations.
Alongside the themed activities, students will enjoy:
Hands-on simulator flying
Aviation games and teamwork challenges
RC aircraft and drone experiences
Real-world aviation knowledge
Problem-solving and investigation exercises
A fun, immersive aerospace environment
This club is perfect for students interested in aviation, engineering, technology, investigation, or simply anyone fascinated by how aircraft fly and how the aviation world works.
