Weekend Clubs at BYP:

All new starters begin with our introductory Wings Course. This first term includes five half-day sessions, each lasting three hours. Clubs run fortnightly to help reduce travel time and cost. The fee for this term is £330.

The course blends theory and hands-on flying. In the classroom, students explore physics, meteorology, and how aircraft work. In the simulator, they learn key flying skills with guidance from our instructors. Using simulators keeps the learning accessible and affordable, while still giving students the skills they’ll later use in a real aircraft.

Real aircraft flights are booked separately at one of our partnering airfields across the UK. These cost £90 per 30 minutes. We recommend 1–2 flights per term, though students are welcome to fly more or less depending on preference.

After completing the Wings Course, students can continue through BYP Levels 1–4. Each level is two terms long (10 half-day sessions). Once all levels are completed — in any order — students will be at the standard required to take their ground pilot exams and begin working towards their pilot’s licence, with support from BYP throughout their journey.
